Paralegals and Malpractice.

While paralegals are still not allowed to give legal advice, they are affecting peoples’ lives in the regular practice of their jobs, and that may lead to a lawsuit. None have been filed so far, but as states expand the allowable duties of a paralegal, it’s certainly conceivable that a lawsuit could be filed by an unhappy client so he may need a malpractice lawyer.

Unless the paralegal works exclusively for an attorney and does no other work outside the bounds of that employment, paralegal malpractice insurance may make sense.
