Types of Jobs Related to Patents
“What kind of jobs are out there within the US Patent and Trademark Organization or the Department of Commerce related to patents?” One of the first positions that us patent attorney I know about is Patent Examiner. Patent Examiners are the people who look over each Patent application to make sure that it meets all the requirements and tell the applicant if their application can be processed.
When you become a Patent Examiner, you are a Federal Employee; as all Patent Examiners work for the United States government thru the Dept. of Commerce, US Patent and Trademark Office.
