Darren and Betty have been planning to travel this summer. They have been looking at all types of RV’s, camp trailers, including jayco and northern. They have been having a lot of fun just looking at all the possibilities there are for traveling. Darren found a place for new Lance Truck Campers and really liked them a lot. He took Betty to look at the lightweight campers. Betty agreed that she liked them better than all the other types of campers. Darren and Betty decided to purchase one of the campers for their truck. Betty could hardly wait to get on the road.

3 things for better Jeep fuel mileage

Posted by admin · 1 Comment

Posted by Kelly,

I want the best fuel efficiency from my Jeep. What do I do? 1.  Drive in 2 wheel drive as much as possible. Driving in 4 wheel drive when you don’t have too will kill your mileage rating. 2. Try not running the air in your Jeep. You have probably heard this, but he air conditioning is about ass big a gas sucker that you have in your Jeep. If you can go without it, it may save you a few bucks. – Bill Z. Sheers

3. Less cylinders is usually much better on fuel. Choose the smaller option, if you can, to be most efficient.

You Can Not Run A Car On Water, But…

Posted by Florinda,

You can’t run car on water, but you can do these things to try to get better mileage:

#1 Low speeds on the highway = better gas mileage — Use your cruise control if you have one. The more consistent you keep your speed, the better mileage you will get. It may not be fun, but it will keep money in your wallet. – Bill Z. Sheers

#2 Drive correctly — This is a simple one, yet nobody ever thinks about it. Most people keep their foot on the gas pedal and brake pedal longer than they should. You don’t need to gun it and you don’t need to wait until the last minute to brake. Try it. And you may see between 5-10% better fuel efficiency.

Street Legal Scooters are a great way to get around town

All things old becomes new again. This is true for mopeds as well. Many fast gas scooter producers are coming out with new scooters that look like the old ones. I think it’s cool. I really like the way older vehicles look. Scooters like the Honda Metropolitan and the Vespa GVS 250 look like old scooters from the old days.

The Cushman Scooters: These guys produced many of the scooters that you see soldiers riding in WWII documentaries. They stopped producing scooters in 1965, but they continue to produce different types of motor vehicles. – Bill Z. Sheers

Scooters are flat out one of the best ways to get around.

Rebuilt Cylinder Heads are the Way to Do It

Posted by Isabell,

I went ahead and had my engine rebuilt in my old Dodge truck. The rebuilt cylinder heads are a real savings over new ones.  I figured I saved about 40 per cent over new ones which is a lot when you figure what a new engine would have cost.  The whole engine was probably a savings of about sixty per cent over a brand new one.  If I get another two hundred thousand miles out of this engine , I will be happy.  I have a two year warranty on the rebuilt engine so I think that is a pretty good deal.

Our 5th wheel trailer

Posted by Ruby,

We bought a 5th RV wheel trailer about 2 years ago. The Mrs. and I have really enjoyed getting out and seeing the country. I really looked into 5th wheel slider hitches before we bought the trailer. It has really been a good deal for us.  We find it is easy for us to hook up the trailer and get the pickup loaded with stuff we need to get to while we are just usuing the pickup.  There is not a lot of things we need to just put in the truck.  The hitch lets us put a few things in the back.

Tailgates for Small Trucks

When you are using a dually truck for transportation, it is important that you keep a close eye on the gas mileage truck and tailgates because all the wind blowing over might lower the mileage. This results in loss of power and mileage. With the rising trend in gas prices, this is surely going to hit you hard over a period of time. This can be rectified by using an Airflow tailgate which will help in reducing air-drag and improve mileage. gas mileage trucks and tailgate are made keeping the specifications of each in mind. This is because every truck has its own tail-gate specifications which won’t perform as well on other models.

Have peace of mind with a Car Warranty

I love to get new vehicles at least every year or two.  I’ve done the best I can at making sure that I don’t lose too much money on the turn overs, but sometimes it’s just unavoidable.  I must say that I have been very fortunate in my vehicle purchase over the years.  One of the main reasons is because I have always gotten a warranty.  Recently i started getting all my cars from the same guy.  He gives a Holden New Car Warranty that is perfect for my situation. I can get the car with peace of mind that it’s not going to break down, before I have to get a new one.

Top Three Reasons To Use Mileage Calculators

Posted by admin · 1 Comment

If you are keen on saving your money on gas bills, then you must consider using a pickup mileage comparison calculator. Majority of these calculators are however more common for comparing your present gas guzzlers with their hybrid counterparts. Pickup mileage comparison calculators therefore come in handy if you are planning to replace your current gas guzzler with a hybrid pickup. No matter which pickup truck you have in mind, you can depend on such a calculator to know the amount of money you would be saving on your gas bills and thus make an informed choice. Besides, such calculators are very easy to use and readily available online.

Understanding Differences Comes With Information

Many may not know that there are many components that allow automobiles to use gasoline effectively. Information may lead to understanding why one product takes one type of gasoline and why another takes a different type. Knowing that when it comes to ECU diesel engines the ECU or electronic control unit is what is used to control engine speed. Controlling the amount of gas once it receives a signal from the sensor on the present speed is what allows this type of engine to use less fuel. Understanding what the difference is between vehicles that use regular fuel and those that use diesel may help consumers make a decision of which engine they prefer.

Talking About Used Pickups

I’ve recently become interested in Used Pickups.
I have to haul stuff frequently for business, so I need a pickup.
My dad told me to check out Used Pickups. It looks like a good option. Prices have really come down.
I’d rather get a smaller car what with gas prices being where they are, but there’s really no choice.
Stay tuned.
