The Cheap Disposable Ones Are Not Very Effective

Posted by admin · Leave a Comment

My young son and I suffer from very severe hay-fever type allergies every spring and well into the summer.  My husband will get up into the furnace grate and replace the disposable filter once every couple of weeks and when he takes it down we notice how full of dust it is.  I don’t think those cheap disposable filters have been very effective though because my son and I seem to have just as many symptoms inside the house as we do when we go outside. I told my husband that we should look into getting some of those Filtrete Air Filters instead. I have heard that they filter a lot more allergens from the air.

I really think that for most residential areas  homeowner wind turbines can be in operation and make enough power to support around 50% of the amount of household electricity used. That would make a really big impact on the economy and create jobs for people in the wind technology business. It really is way past time to wean ourselves as much as we can on our dependence on foreign oil.

Posted by admin · Leave a Comment

Heat pump water heaters are more economical to use than electric water heaters. This is because they produce an equal amount of heated water but use only a third of electricity. Instead of producing heat, it uses electricity to move the heat from one place to a new one. Its process is much like the process refrigerators use but in reverse. Rheem is one of the well recognized brands manufacture this kind of water heater. The Rheem EcoSense 50G Hybrid model number HP50ES sells for $1,498 at The Home Depot. This product uses heat pump technology for more energy efficiency. It uses about 55% less electricity compared to typical electric water heaters and produces heated water 17% faster. The unit is also equipped with an LED touch pad which controls the temperature with 3 different settings. It stands about 75.5 in. in height and weighs 200 lbs. The product comes with a 12 year warranty on the tank and its parts and has a limited 1 year in-home warranty.

My husband has been having a lot of trouble with his breathing ever since he had pneumonia this past winter. It took him a long time to finally start feeling better but his cough still continues to hang on and it bothers him quite a bit. I went online to see if there was anything that might help relieve his cough, especially when he is in bed at night and I read a very interesting article all about Air Purifier Types And Uses for better breathing.  After scouring over the information I decided that I was going to purchase one for the upstairs and one for downstairs as well.

A Place to Sit and Have My Morning Coffee

Recently I moved into a new townhouse and I am enjoying it immensely. I lived in a very small apartment before that and the only place to sit and eat in the kitchen was my small set of table and chairs.  This new space has a very nice counter with a bar to sit at.  I didn’t have any seating for the bar so I went shopping for some. I finally found some very nice dark cherry Wooden Bar Stools that will go perfectly with my other furniture and the cabinets in the kitchen.  I will really enjoy having a bar area to sit at while I have my coffee in the morning.

Using Compound Miter Saws

Posted by Eun,When you need to make an accurarate, compound angle cut on the end of a piece of wood, few tools are as easy to use as the compound miter saws on the market today. It is basically nothing more than a circular saw placed on the end of a lever. The timber is placed on a flat base against a guide rail and the saw is lowered into the piece of wood. The saw can be angled up to 45 degrees either to the left or right. A quality one should have a clearly marked miter gauge and hard stops at major degree angles in both directions. The user should also be able to lock the saw to any specific miter angle they need before making the cut to ensure spot on accuracy.

Finding the Right Mount

I was looking at a local big company’s flyer that came in the mail a few days ago and I saw many different sales for TV Mounts that would fit my current tv. I have this 50 inch tv that is still sitting in its box from when I had it a few months ago. I think it is time for me to buy a flat screen tv wall mount, but I just want to be sure I get one that will last me longer then a year. I guess I can always buy a warranty on it and that will solve that.

My sister and I went to a department store to look for clothes to buy and went to the home and decor areas. She happened to see a carpet steam cleaner that interested her mainly because of the color and the features. I tried to tell her that she does not another rug steamer, since she has so many already. She proceeded to look at the others that were available and ended up paying for the most expensive one. She went by color, and the fact hat it had an attachment that her other 3 cleaners did not have. She put it on her credit card.

My sister and her husband recently moved into their very first home. They worked very hard for a long time to be able to accomplish this and they are both very proud and excited. They are planning a housewarming party this coming weekend and I want to get them something that they can really use for their new home. My mother told me that they could really use a nice pair of Kitchen Counter Stools for the eating bar in their kitchen.  They did not have any at the moment and I thought that would be the ideal gift for them.
