We’re redecorating a couple of rooms in our house this spring, and we’re looking for some unique and attractive design ideas. One of the things we’re considering is an Oriental-style look in one of the rooms. One of the ways we’re thinking of achieving this is by using bamboo window blinds. The cost is a little higher than some other styles we’ve looked at, but the bamboo blinds really have an authentic feel to them. I’m just a little concerned about maintenance and how well they will stand up to the wear and tear of daily life. While we want a new look, we also want something that’s going to last for a few years.

New Embroidered Silk Drapes

The other day I decided to redo my living room decor. I wanted something to bring a little bit of color to the room without going too far. I decided I wanted Silk Drapes. However, I couldn’t decide what color I wanted. My living room is a creme’ color and I didn’t want to over power the room with a vivid color. So I sat down and did some research online and found out they embroidered these drapes with any kind of design you would like. So I picked out my pattern set with a creme color silk that was almost matching my living room, but was a tad warmer in color. Then, I took them down to an embroidery shop and had my design embroidered on. I couldn’t wait to hang my new drapes in my living room.

I am a bit tired of getting the same old Christmas presents and general gifts that I know I will just put to one side and never use, or that I will try and give away to someone else next Christmas, this year I actually want something that is practical, something that will actually help me in my life.  This year I have my mind on a good quality pillow. This is all I want. Forget about the song with the words “All I want for Christmas is You” I have told my wife that I love and appreciate her but I have her already and all I want for Christmas is a good quality pillow.
