What’s The Best Riding Lawn Mower?

Posted by Arcelia,

We’re moving to a larger piece of property, so I’m planning to buy a riding mower. I can’t imagine hiking a push mower around 5 acres every week or two. What is the best riding lawn mower? I’ve been reading about these zero turn models, but are they really any better than the “regular” style mowers? I’m not even sure I completely get what the zero turn thing means. It looks like they steer from the back instead of the front – is that the only difference? I’m not sure I’d like that, at least not until I practiced with it for a while.

Making a List

I knew that I needed to look at Excavator Machines for my business, but I had no idea what I wanted to buy. Should I consider a new excavator or go with a Used Excavator? Should I look at full sized or Mini Excavators? I didn’t even want to start thinking about the different brands, there are just so many to choose from. I finally decided that what I needed to down as to sit down and make a list. If I were to do that, I could write what I needed for my excavator, and then maybe something would become clear to me.

Three types of warm season grasses.

Posted by Tiara,

There are 3 types of warm season grasses that are commonly used.  Bermuda, zoysia and centipede grass.  Both zoysia and Bermuda have had hybrids developed which will grow in colder areas.  These two tend to turn brown very quickly at the first drop in temperature and are the first to green when the weather warms.  Both Bermuda and centipede can be mown very close and Bermuda is often used on golf greens.  Centipede is very low maintenance.  It needs less mowing than the other 2 and can grow in salty soil.  They all will remain green year round if the temperature is warm enough and can fare well in drought conditions.

Over-the-top

I moved into a new place a few months ago the first thing I did was fit some very expensive Decorative Fencing, because I could see that it would make a real difference to my lifestyle. Now that I can see how much difference it has made I am really glad to have been able to install it so easily. You really cannot say better than that.

Artificial wood fencing from recycled material

The fence in front of my log cabin looked great. Nobody would believe that the artificial wood used to make it was from recycled stuff. It is like abracadabra – out of throwaway plastics, milk cartons and cotton it is voila! Out pops artificial wood that serves the purpose of man without mauling Nature. Recycling has really taken great strides in making artificial wood products like fencing. It has been tested that this wood is equal for all practical purposes to real wood with the added advantage of being affordable and requiring little or no looking after. Artificial Wood Fencing is the product of a technological revolution.

Keeping the dog under control

I have a small dog, which I have had for three years, and when I moved to a new place last fall, I realized that I really needed to do something about the state of the fence, because I could see he would probably end up running off and maybe into the road. After looking at the option, I saw that a new Dog Containment Fence was the only way to go, something which would make sure my little dog was kept safe and under control. It was a great thing to buy, and now I can have peace of mind.

Give Your Front Yard Design Plan Your Own Look

A front yard landscape design can be given an individualistic look by adding small elements for aesthetic purposes, for example, a small water fountain, or a birdbath, a statue, lawn and garden furniture etc. For flooring, use of turf is a better option but requires maintenance and has to be mowed regularly. If not turf, using stone slab for paving or market available paving tiles can be used and placed in a pattern. Use of flowering plants enhances the look of the garden. Planting at the sides is a better option always as it does not reduces the area of the lawn. Use of pebbles or crushed rubble at the base of plants gives a neat appearance.
