Copyright Protections Extend to Music

Copyright protections are important for ensuring that composers get credit and compensation for any of their works that is later performed by another. The need for music copyrighting was encoded into law with the passage of the Copyright Act of 1976. The steps for securing this protection are quite simple. Essentially any piece of music that is written down or “fixed into any tangible medium,” qualifies for the protection. It is common practice, and a good idea, to document that protection on the written piece by calling out the protection on the bottom of the first page of the music. The piece should then be registered with the Copyright Office before the first public performance.

New Platform Ladders for the Warehouse

Recently, I decided to purchase Cotterman Platform Ladders for my warehouse. I found that the old traditional ladders were slowing the workers down a lot. I was surprised that my predecessor did not invest in better equipment. The workers could do a lot more work per hour if they had a stable platform that could carry more weight. Of course, having rollers on the ladder save time as well since they make it easy to move the ladder to the next work location. Overall, the workers are much happier with the new platforms and have greatly increased their productivity at work.

I have tried a lot of massaging equipment throughout my life. I do not like any of the back massagers that are positioned in a chair. They do not give me the sensations that I need to be truly relaxed. I have found that the Hitachi Magic Wand has just enough power to give me the massaging that I need without feeling pain. Some of the products that I have used before have cause me more pain than relief. It has felt as though I was getting poked and prodded with rods rather than massaged to a gentle relaxed state of mind.
