Microwave Prostate Gland Therapy
When a prostate becomes enlarged, it can interfere with the expulsion of urine and semen from the urethra. This can cause many irritating symptoms including some very serious problems as well. Luckily, there are many different forms of enlarged prostate gland therapy, including transurethral microwave therapy. This is often a non-surgical one-day session that involves a tiny microwave antenna being inserted into the urethra via catheter. As the antenna transmits microwaves to the area of the prostate, cool water is circulated through the catheter allowing the process to be low in pain. So much so, that this is often completed as an outpatient method.
