Transplantation of Stem Cells for Parkinson’s

Posted by · 658 Comments

Following the harvesting of stem cells, they must then be placed in the area of damage in the recipients body. Stem Cell Parkinson’s must be placed in the brain of the patient suffering from Parkinson’s. This disease is caused from dead brain cells in the patient that used to produce dopamine. This is a substance that helps us with movement, balance and speech. To replace these cells, holes must be drilled in the skull of the recipient and then the cells are injected into the area of damage. These cells are then closely watched to see if they live and are subsequently triggered by the recipients body to produce dopamine.
